Self-taught industrial designer with over seven years in the knife industry — but knives are just the starting point. I've designed everything from firearms and motorcycle parts to pens, wallets, and custom shop projects. If it can be modeled and built, I've probably drawn it.

I got my start in AutoCAD, doing 2D drawings for a concrete company in Dallas. I liked the work, but 2D felt limiting. I had a student account that gave me access to Fusion 360, and one day I started tinkering with 3D modeling just to see what was possible. I never looked back.

I've always been the kid drawing on everything — tests, notebooks, whatever was in front of me. I taught myself Fusion 360, started designing knives on my own, and posted them to Instagram to try to get noticed. That led to my first professional design role at EOS in New York. From there I moved to Microtech Knives in North Carolina, where I've been for over seven years.

I like designing things nobody else is doing. Functional and usable, always — but also unique and modern. I like to push the envelope. A lot of companies push back on that because of cost, but sometimes it's worth going the extra mile to create something truly different.

The most rewarding part of this work is the full arc — a rough sketch on paper, a refined model on screen, and then holding the finished product in your hands. Showing it to friends and family and saying, "I made this." That never gets old.
